Finally, after five days of flight over unknown territory, Tina Chep was closing in on the aerostat of Alan Kradec. The hunt was almost over and soon the decisive confrontation between the two would take place. Acres of diamond-shaped fields lay below the two enemies but neither were aware of the idyllic landscape.
Description of how this image was created
The landscape is a heightfield based on an image made with Apophysis http://apophysis.org/, and processed with GeoControl http://www.geocontrol2.com/e_index.htm. In POV-Ray the heightfield was calculated as a function with the addition of a diamond pattern image. Trees by POVtree; smoke with the SmokeGen macro (Michael Carnholm); figure and eagles with Poser 8. All other objects modelled with Silo2 http://www.nevercenter.com/silo/.
