This is an homage of sorts to Isaac Newton and his groundbreaking work on optics, for this amzing book was a truly illuminating manuscript that helped illuminate the minds of modern man, and in turn bring about our modern world...
Description of how this image was created
Wow, here I am out of time again. I wanted to really try and capture a realistic overall sense of lighting and mood in this piece. If anyone wants additional details about anything in this shot I'll be happy to "illuminate" further in my WIP forum thread...

I need a bigger monitor... A great image, good modelling/textures and lighting. My main issue is the building immediately outside the doorway, it looks like you forgot to add any detail/texture to it. Also, maybe the pillar is a bit too distressed. BTW congrats on being the latest entry, I though I was pushing it with only a few minutes to go.

Very nice coloring. Seems the scene lighting is somewhat contradictory with the vitraux.
